For His Love & Purpose 6x6" Wooden Frame Mixed Media Art
What is it?
Handmade mixed media piece built for hanging on the wall, this one is entitled For His Love and Purpose. Dimensions of the frame itself are 6"x6"x1.5" and with added pieces it reaches just over 7 inches for width and height and 3 inches deep. It will hang on wall from the attached ribbon.
Specifically...
It is a solid wood frame distressed with a stencil and texture paste. I wrapped beads, chains, and strings around the base, laced a ribbon with a string of buttons across the top and glued that to the frame. Then I used Finnabair moulds for butterflies, gears, and scrolls, and combined them with wooden chipboard pieces, sea shells, flowers, beads, art stones, micro beads, glitter, Art Alchemy Metallique Waxes in White Pearl and Rose Gold, and a large glass pebble with a piece of scrapbook paper adhered to the back to show a pretty flower. In the center are larger layered flowers and art stones with a tattered Bible Scripture, Romans 8:28, resting in the top center. It will hang from the attached ribbon. The colors are more of a peachy tone, but I do not have that color option in the description area. So when it says orange with white, it's really Peach colored with rose-gold highlights.
Is it sturdy and will it last?
All items were adhered using a matte medium gel, gesso, and hot glue to assure that nothing comes apart. I take each of my finished pieces and shake the daylights out of them, upside down and everything, to assure that nothing will fall off. So, yes, it is quite durable and built to last.
Artist Disclaimer:
One of a kind art. There is only one available.
My prices may seem inconsistent, but every item is priced according to the amount of time I spend creating them as well as the supplies used. I handcraft nearly every piece that goes into my art. The resin pieces are the simplest things I create because the amazing moulds do most of the work for me. But other items found on each of my pieces is completely designed and meticulously put together by me. While there are a lot of fantastically beautiful options out there, I don't buy many pre-made embellishments because I want my art to be unique and entirely MY design. So if the prices seem higher on some pieces and lower on others, it has everything to do with the time spent creating each individual embellishment used on those pieces. I solemnly pour my heart and soul into everything I make. And I truly hope that shows in my attention to every single detail and quality of my products.
