Strawberry Bramble's Pendulous Light Handmade Decor Mixed Media Wall Art:
What is it? Mixed-media art.
Handmade mixed media piece, first one that is part of my Strawberry Bramble design suite. This one is named Pendulous Light.
"Hey, Mabel what do you mean by "design suite?"
"Well, Luella, I'm glad you asked. A design suite is a set of items that I created to go together, with matching items unique to each suite. Strawberry Bramble is the name of this particular one, and it is still in the making, meaning there is more to come. It is, as you can guess, all about strawberries, with beautiful flowers, chains, scrolls, and other steampunk styles. Sort of like a sweet steampunk garden patch!"
Specifics:
I used a 12"x16" hard canvas panel for this one. This piece was entirely made from scratch by me, including every single flower, butterfly, strawberry, leaf, and resin piece. Supplies used are: clay for the handmade strawberries, red glossy paint, acrylic gel medium, white gesso, resin pieces: frames, flowers, feathers, scrolls, gears, light bulbs, leaves, chains, borders, lace, and butterflies; various green and blue alcohol inks, black permanent ink and a mixture of stamps for the background; handmade paper flowers and leaves, gems, flat-back and rounded pearls, and acetate butterflies colored with alcohol inks. This piece contains 2 metal grommets at the top for mounting on wall with ribbon. Black & white ribbon is included.
All items were adhered using a matte medium gel, gesso, Bearly Art Precisoin Craft Glue, Glossy Accents, and hot glue to assure that nothing comes apart.
Artist Disclaimer:
One of a kind art. There is only one available.
My prices may seem inconsistent, but every item is priced according to the amount of time I spend creating them as well as the supplies used. I handcraft nearly every piece that goes into my art. The resin pieces are the simplest things I create because the amazing moulds do most of the work for me. But other items found on each of my pieces is completely designed and meticulously put together by me. While there are a lot of fantastically beautiful options out there, I don't buy many pre-made embellishments because I want my art to be unique and entirely MY design. So if the prices seem higher on some pieces and lower on others, it has everything to do with the time spent creating each individual embellishment used on those pieces. I solemnly pour my heart and soul into everything I make. And I truly hope that shows in my attention to every single detail and quality of my products.
